Slip, Trip and Fall Prevention
Over 50% of injuries reported to Church Mutual are the result of slips, trips or falls. Our policyholders aren't alone - slips, trips and falls are among the leading causes of unintentional injuries and fatalities in the United States.
People tend to view slips, trips and falls as insignificant or minor incidents, but even the healthiest individual can sustain severe trauma such as a head injury, broken bone, sprain or laceration from an untimely slip, trip or fall.
It's important to remember that minor incidents can carry big consequences. It isn't an exaggeration to suggest better lighting could prevent a broken bone, or more thorough housekeeping could prevent back surgery or better mopping practices could prevent a miscarriage. However, just as minor incidents can carry big consequences, it's similarly true that minor interventions can lead to significant improvements.
You can't prepare until you understand the exposure. These tools provide context for the risk facing your organization.
